Dog Behavior Consultation

  • A Dog Behavior Consultation consists of taking a complete history, observation and evaluation of dog’s behaviors.
  • It concludes with suggestions for modifying the unwanted behaviors, preventing them from re-occurring and reinforcing good behaviors.
  • Evaluating a dog’s behavior is best accomplished at the dog owner’s home where the dog is most comfortable.
  • It is highly recommended that all family members responsible for the dog’s care be present for the Behavior Consultation.
  • The appointment usually lasts 2 hours or sometimes even longer based on the complexity of the situations being evaluated.

 Pre Puppy/Dog Consultation

  • A 90 minutes private session, at the owner’s home who is considering adopting a puppy / dog.
  • This is highly recommended for first time dog owners. All family members are encouraged to take part, ask questions and learn what to expect and about the commitment.

 Puppy Primer

  • Puppy Primer is a 90 minutes private session, at the owner’s home, for puppies 8 – 12 weeks old.
  • The best time to have a Puppy Primer is within a week of the puppy’s arrival at its new home.
  • All family members are encouraged to take part since consistency is vital to helping the puppy learn what is expected.
  • The session is filled with all the information needed to give your puppy a good start and help it become an excellent family pet.

 Puppy 4- Pack

Puppy 4-Pack is only available immediately after a Puppy Primer.  

  • It is a series of 4 weekly, 60 minute, private sessions at a reduced rate.
  • The Puppy 4-Pack is intended to cover all the basic dog behaviors people expect of their dogs, before puppies have the opportunity to think they can act like wild animals in a human family.

 Private Lessons

  • Private lessons are “one on one” sessions for your dog and family.
  • Private sessions are most commonly held at the client’s residence.  All family members will have the opportunity to master teaching their dog under Carmen’s supervision.
  • Approach is tailored to unique needs with emphasis on supporting personal motivation and confidence.
  • Through private lessons, Carmen helps individuals and families reach their goals quickly and efficiently.
